Bakehouse Cafe with a market atmosphere serving up single origin coffee, bake in view pizzas, croissants and other fine pastries is looking for a dynamic experienced individual with food service and food retails background.
- The person in this role creates the tone and personality of the cafe and team by being an advocate and promoter of training and development, customer service, relationship extension, product knowledge, department of health and safety adherence, and values alignment amongst team members.
- Selection, training & development, daily workflow, inventory management, planning & performance of bakery employees
- Develop and implement merchandising plans for new operations, as required.
- Oversee and manage all outlets to ensure smooth flow of daily operations & delivery of targets for each outlet.
- Create & implement consistent communication across internal departments: kitchen, operations, production.
- Manage food cost, labour cost & other operating costs within company's KPI.
- This individual will also work closely with Owner.
Operations:

- Supports the Owner on all operation details
- Leads by example with on-the-job leadership
- Develops and executes goals with the Owner.
- Liaison between Retail & Production sites
- Adhering to all company policies and procedures, including but not limited to: opening and closing procedures, cash handling procedures, deposit and safe procedures, coaching and counseling procedures, and POS procedures
- Ensures all team members provide hospitable and exemplary service that exceed our guest’s expectations and creates an experience for all who come through out front door
- Coordinates seasonal marketing initiatives, new menu and product rollouts, and seasonal drink offerings
- Responsible for the overall performance and sales of the Café and ensures that the company's profits and goals are met.
- Manage, build and maintain relationship with customers and clients
- Has a passion for excellence, is detailed oriented, operations focused, hands-on management style, great organizational skills, and strong written and verbal communication skills

**Salary**: $60,000.00-$80,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Toronto, ON M4G 3B4: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- Secondary School (required)

**Experience**:

- Retail management: 2 years (required)

Work Location: In person

Expected start date: 2023-05-01
