Bakery Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Baker and Production Manager to join our team at Port Union Bakery. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our bakery, ensuring high-quality products are produced efficiently and effectively.
Key Responsibilities- Product Preparation: Prepare dough for pies, bread, rolls, and sweet goods, batters for muffins, cookies, and cakes, and icings and frostings according to recipes or special customer orders.
- Staff Training: Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food.
- Production Scheduling: Draw up production schedules to ensure efficient use of resources.
- Machinery Operation: Operate machinery as required.
- Inventory Management: Organize and maintain inventory to prevent stockouts and overstocking.
- Customer Service: Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a bakery or related field.
- Work Setting: Bake shop, large volume bakery, or café.
- Permanent Full-Time Position: 40 hours per week.
- English Language: Work language is English.
