About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized Promotions and Activations Coordinator to join our dynamic team at SNDL in the retail division. As a Promotions and Activations Coordinator, you will be responsible for tracking promotions and activations, ensuring execution, maximize profitability, and enhance the overall customer experience. You will collaborate with suppliers, internal stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to ensure the success of our retail operations. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth and success of a rapidly evolving industry.

**Responsibilities**:
Promotion and Activation Planning:

- Develop and maintain a promotions and activations calendar encompassing all retail banners and activation types.
- Participate in meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to determine KPI’s for proposed activities.

Promotion and Activation Execution:

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Operations, Finance, and Legal to ensure seamless execution of activations.
- Ensure any system components are in place, including digital media and pricing.
- Coordinate communication to retail operations teams in advance.

Reporting:

- Evaluate each activity against identified KPI’s.
- Facilitate debrief meeting after large activations to gather feedback with the aim of continuous improvement.

Competitive Analysis:

- Monitor market trends, analyze competitors' offerings, pricing, and promotional activities to identify opportunities and provide recommendations for maintaining a competitive edge.

Marketing Collaboration:

- Collaborate with marketing teams to develop effective marketing campaigns, promotions, and loyalty programs to drive category sales and increase customer engagement.
- Compliance and Regulatory Knowledge: Stay informed about industry regulations and ensure adherence to all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies pertaining to the sale of cannabis products.

**Qualifications**:

- Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to leverage data to drive performance.
- Knowledge of the Canadian retail cannabis market, including product trends, regulations, and competitive landscape considered an asset.
- Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
- Strong organizational and project management abilities, with the capacity to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in using analytical tools such as Excel, PowerBI, or other data visualization software.
- Passion for the cannabis industry and staying up-to-date with industry developments.
- Degree/Diploma/Certificate in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field is considered an asset.
