Digital Green Building Manager

**Tasks and Responsibilities**
- Conduct life-cycle assessment (LCA) of buildings using life cycle impact assessment methods with focus on essential concepts such as Indoor Air Quality, embodied energy and CO2, operational energy and CO2, construction waste and its management, land use and water use
- Analyze advanced shading device performance, daylighting and solar gain control, window/glazing/shading technologies
- Evaluate the effectiveness of reflective/emissive roofing, vegetated roofs, and vegetated walls on heating and cooling load reduction for buildings
- Manage construction project information using Building Information Modeling (BIM) with focus on Energy Efficiency in examining the performance of advanced envelope components and systems, both seasonally and across varied climate zones
- Use energy simulation software systems such as OneClick, Autodesk Insight, eTool, Edge Buildings
- Evaluate and integrate data from different emerging technologies such as 3D laser scanners, Robots, Drones, BIM, GIS for the optimisation of information management for the lifecycle delivery of construction projects
- Use traditional and BIM-based methods in conducting construction inspections and post-occupancy evaluations of buildings
- Verify compliance with respects to different sustainability building codes/standards such LEED, Energy Star, BREEAM, etc
- Lead a vibrant, inclusive, and forward-looking research team in relevant area(s), such as construction informatics, modern methods of construction, net-zero construction, sustainable materials, organizational change etc
- Demonstrate experience in authoring high-quality publications in international journals and presenting at conferences
- Take a leading role in collaborative partnership with other institutions and external organisations

**Your profile**
- BSc degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Engineering, Construction Informatics, or a related built environment discipline
- Atleast 4 years of proven business development experience in climate change
- Being a member of a relevant professional body is an asset
- Experience in writing high quality peer-reviewed articles for journal and conference publications and reports for international organisations and clients
- Experience in analysing and interpreting building energy data
- Strong analytical skills, including familiarity with database and data analytical software
- Familiarity with the operating principles of energy-consuming equipment and systems in buildings
- An understanding of international BIM standards for facilities management
- Strong interest in interdisciplinary work and thinking
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to develop excellent working relationships with a range of internal and external partners
- An excellent mastery of English and French languages
- Knowledge of smart building technologies
- Knowledge of other relevant green building rating systems, such as Energy Star Homes, Enterprise Green Communities, Passive House, Living Building Challenge, etc
- Knowledge of green building and energy efficiency strategies and technologies
- Experience working with organisations involved in climate change and sustainability
