**Major Purpose**:
Under the general direction and supervision of the Senior Manager, Program Communications, the Web Development and Digital Project Manager is responsible for managing the implementation, development and enhancements of web and digital assets for FCM’s Programs. They work closely with various teams and departments and external consultants to assess and document business/end-user requirements for digital and public web assets, research and recommend solutions, manage implementation projects, develop technical specifications, and oversee the development, integration and implementation of new and existing digital tools and public web assets. They are responsible for overseeing the digital asset lifecycle for FCM Programs’ public web assets (including Drupal based website), and for developing a strategy to maximize their future effectiveness in achieving the organization’s larger goals and objectives.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Responsible for developing, communicating, and leading project plans for FCM Programs web and digital platforms and tools (includes Drupal and WordPress websites and other tools).
- Works closely with various staff and departments to provide insightful analysis, understand objectives, propose and implement appropriate digital tools and solutions to meet these business objectives across the department.
- Manages and oversees external consultants’ tasks and priorities, as required. Monitors their work for follow up on action items and deliverables.
- Solicits and documents business, system and functional requirements, use cases and test cases related to Digital projects.
- Assesses Digital Communications tools and public web assets, their specific functionality within FCM and makes recommendations to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of use.
- Recommends technical solutions necessary to meet FCM business needs/requirements with little supervision. Answers consultant questions and gives directions to FCM staff.
- Acts as a single point of contact for new project requests between departments and teams in order to focus new requests and improve interdepartmental communication, and provides regular briefings/reports to team leaders on important ongoing projects.
- Lead author for new business cases, SOWs, RFPs etc. for Program Communications.
- Conducts industry research for any new product/technology evaluations required for new FCM projects/systems.
- Leads project management for the development of new web assets and other projects as required.
- Responsible for FCM’s web asset lifecycle management and overall web asset development strategy, including ensuring software licenses are compliant with company policies and remain up-to-date.
- Represents Program Communications on the Information Technology Steering Committee.
- Assists IS with integrating FCM’s essential business systems, particularly the Constituent Relationship Management system with our public web assets as required.
- Assists IS with business process automations and other productivity enhancements as required.
- Ensures AODA compliance for public-facing websites.
