The Curriculum Development Consultant will provide leadership and coordination for the development of School of Business programs and curriculum. The position will be accountable for project coordination and execution of course development to support new programming and major revisions to existing curriculum - ensuring timelines, budget and deliverables are met while meeting quality and procedural requirements. The incumbent will liaise with faculty, leadership team members in the School of Business, and other College departments to meet strategic and operational goals related to curriculum development.

**Responsibilities**:
**Project Management**
- Providing support to leadership team members in the design, development, and creation of course and program materials, aligning with program development priorities
- Managing and tracking course development using project management practices, as per the School of Business priorities and timelines
- Ensuring course documentation requirements are tracked and completed
- Project managing course developments from conception to final build, ensuring quality completion of content, evaluations, marking schemes, etc., as well as the creation of model course shells in eConestoga that meet technical needs and standards
- Ensuring the curriculum developed meets Conestoga standards and expectations, including eConestoga Essential elements

**Resource & Workflow Coordination**
- Identifying and contracting Curriculum Developers (faculty), ensuring consistent contracting with a clear outline and measurement of deliverables
- Ensuring that course creation and course developers utilize and integrate internal resources and supports in course creation
- Managing capacity and making recommendations for project plans to maximize resource and deliverable efficiency

**Communication**
- Conducting meetings and needs assessments with leadership, internal resources, and external resources to ensure course scope and currency
- Coordinating meetings and workflow between college resources and departments, and faculty curriculum developers, to ensure course and program standards and procedures are met

Qualifications:

- Four-year Degree in Business, Education/Adult Education, or Instructional Design; Master’s Degree in Education is preferred
- Additional credentials in educational technology, instructional design, or project management will be considered an asset
- Minimum five years of experience in the post-secondary sector, including demonstrated experience in designing curriculum at the course or program level
- Intermediate to advanced technology skills using core business software such as the Microsoft Office Suite and intermediate to advanced skills using a learning management system (such as D2L)
- Skills using project management software would be considered an asset
