Clear Vision Surgical is a division of the Windsor Laser Eye Institute (WLEI), which was established in 1991. The WLEI is world-renowned for its work and contribution in developing standards of care in vision correction procedures and remains committed to uncompromised patient care. Our family of surgical eye centres span 5 locations across SW Ontario and include; Windsor Laser Eye Institute, Laser Vision London, Burlington Laser Eye Centre, Barrie Lasik Centre, and Clear Vision Surgical.

Primary Role - Optometric Consultant:

- Working co-operatively with our referring Optometric community in the Kitchener-Waterloo area, managing a regular call cycle to ensure consistent “touch points" to build rapport, answer questions, and address concerns.
- Following-up on queries from optometric practices which have demonstrated interest in becoming referring partners.
- Managing and successfully executing Continuing Medical Education Programs and in-office Lunch and Learn events with our referring Optometric community.
- Contributing to the development of marketing programs and materials which are specific to Clear Vision Surgical or the larger Surgical Eye Centres organization.

Secondary Cross-Trained Roles: Patient Counsellor and Diagnostic Tech
- Discussing and explaining laser refractive surgery options and premium intraocular lens choices for cataract surgery.
- Utilizing online platforms to assist in patient education.
- Ensuring patients understand their condition and recommended procedures, provide any special instructions to patients upon leaving, including knowledge of the procedure and the centre.
- Performing complete diagnostic testing procedures on patients during the consult phase using equipment such as an autorefractor, Pentacam, OCT, etc..
- Uploading diagnostic imaging to our electronic medical record (EMR) system for review.
- Scheduling procedures and return appointments for follow-ups, as necessary.

**Experience**:
Work Location: Hybrid role split between the Clear Vision Surgical and local optometric offices.

**Job Types**: Permanent, Full-time

**Salary**: $28.00-$31.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
