**Overview**:
**Crosslinx Transit Solutions (CTS) is a consortium comprised of EllisDon, SNC-Lavalin, Aecon and Dragados. CTS has been selected by Metrolinx and Infrastructure Ontario to deliver the Eglinton Crosstown Light Rail Transit Project and is seeking highly qualified, experienced personnel to join the team of this complex P3 design and construction project.**

**Position: Coordinator, Communications and Marketing (6-month contract)**

Are you a self-starter who likes working in a fast-paced environment? Do you have experience working on infrastructure projects and would you like to be part of Toronto’s largest transit project? We are looking for a dynamic **Communications and Marketing Coordinator** who is passionate about building positive relationships, communicating simply and effectively, and inspiring people to see the benefits of a new LRT system.

Reporting to the Vice-President Communications, this role is a key member of the Communications team and carries out communications, stakeholder and community relations and supports the team with content creation, website updates and administration tasks.

The person in this role collaborates with members of the construction and communications teams as well as external partners to ensure project construction communications requirements are achieved and that the project is both well-represented and well-understood by key stakeholders through construction notices, regular stakeholder meetings, public events including construction liaison committees, public open houses, and face to face canvassing.

The person in this role knows the principles, practices and techniques of communications and event planning and development, broadcast and electronic media, and print production

**Responsibilities**:
Under supervision of the Vice-President Communications:

- Develop materials, including public notices, fact sheets and presentations, and coordinate delivery of such to communicate and sustain good relations with area residents, businesses, community groups and associations, elected officials and the broader public
- Design, edit and coordinate distribution of public information materials such as maps, signs, notices, e-newsletters, backgrounders, and presentations
- Coordinate videographer, develop video ideas showcasing specific content, and edit videos
- Support construction communications by delivering on-the-ground communications and consultation activities by proactively seeking input, promptly responding to inquiries, and anticipating issues for immediate mitigation or escalating them for resolution.
- Coordinate photographer, keep running list of milestones, select photos, edit photos, do captions (weekly)
- Assist with internal communications including website updating when necessary, internal poster design and production
- Provide support in the planning, organizing, and implementing CTS internal and external events.
- Assist in the implementation of ongoing public outreach initiatives with both CTS and Metrolinx colleagues
- Other administrative duties as assigned including processing invoices, PRs, vendors, and credit card invoices and receipts

**Qualifications**:
Experience
- 1-3 years communications or stakeholder relations experience. Experience in transit and/or construction considered an asset.

**Skills**:

- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Strong knowledge of Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Premiere Pro and Photoshop
- Proficient in WordPress
- Video production skills, including filming and editing
- Experienced at building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Strong knowledge of best practices for social media content creation
- This is an on-site position, and the incumbent will regularly drive and walk along the project corridor.
