**Standard Responsibilities**:
The Payroll Coordinator will report to the Director of Human Resources and have a variety of responsibilities. This position offers fantastic opportunities for growth and professional development. Duties include but are not limited to:

- Responsible for assisting the Payroll and Benefits Manager with semi-monthly and monthly payroll for 400+ employees
- Act as payroll backup for vacation relief
- Provide administrative support to the Payroll and Human Resources department
- Monthly payroll journal entries
- Assist with the processing of benefit plans for all eligible employees
- Maintain HRIS system (BambooHR) ensuring data integrity and accuracy of records across all offices
- Participate in year-end budget procedures (create spreadsheets, gather and input data)
- Generate and create reports as required
- Administer the annual staff performance reviews
- Participate in staff recruitment (update job descriptions, post jobs and schedule interviews)
- Active participation in Occupational Health and Safety and Emergency Response Committees
- Perform other duties as required

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum 2+ years' working experience in Payroll Administration
- Experience within a professional services firm is an asset
- Knowledge of ADP WorkForceNow an asset but not required
- Familiarity with Aderant is an asset
- Knowledge and experience with HRIS systems is an asset
- Excellent organization and multi-tasking skills
- Proven ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of the firm
- Able to act tactfully and with discretion when dealing with confidential matters
- Proven ability to prioritize and manage competing demands with a high level of attention to detail and accountability
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office with intermediate to advanced Excel Skills
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

The typical salary range for this position is **$48,000 - $58,000 annually**; the base pay offered is based on location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, internal and market equity.
