**YOUR CONTRIBUTION**

You will report to our Director, Accounting and will work very closely with them on various tasks. You will also be very implicated with the accounting team in the production of financial and management reports. This is an excellent career opportunity that also allows you to collaborate on the success of Enerkem’s unique and disruptive technology.

As an AP Technician, you will have general accounting responsibilities including, but not limited to conciliation, processing, managing internal and external relationships related to Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.

**Your role and responsibilities will be the following**:

- Audit and process employee expense reports in accordance with travel and expense policies;
- Audit and process VISA accounts;
- Ensure that supplier-related information is valid and accurate, and that supplier invoices are paid according to company rules and policies;
- Enter accounts payable in the accounting system (Microsoft Dynamics 365);
- Coordinate with vendors regarding invoicing and payment inquiries and discrepancies;
- Respond to vendors inquiries in a timely and professional manner;
- Conciliate vendor statements, research and correct discrepancies;
- Follow up on purchase orders and supplier invoices;
- Analyze certain general ledger accounts and make end-of-month adjustments;
- Perform ad-hoc accounting analysis;
- Assist in month end closing and with any audit support required;
- Assist with other projects as needed.

**Qualifications**:
**YOUR QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS**
- College degree in Accounting;
- Minimum of two (2) years of related experience;
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles and standards;
- Excellent organizational, solution-driven and critical thinking skills;
- Keen ability to detect discrepancies;
- Demonstrate thoroughness and attention to detail;
- Takes Initiatives and is action orientated;
- Ability to work effectively and professionally within a team and with others;
- Have a good sense of urgency;
- Is a quick learner and autonomous worker;
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and in French;
- Proficiency in MS Office.
