The Faculty of Music, Wilfrid Laurier University, requires part-time contract teaching faculty (CTF) to teach the course listed below at the Waterloo campus. Following is a brief description of the course to indicate the content and level of difficulty. Application items below suggested as optional are strongly recommended. **Position Summary**:
Individual applied study in an alternative (non-classical) curriculum. Genres include rock, jazz, and popular music. Lessons may include transcription practice.

**Qualifications - Required**: Master’s in Music or equivalent professional experience or post-secondary credential.
**Qualifications - Preferred**:DMA in Tenor Saxophone

**Qualifications - Discipline**: Tenor Saxophone performance

**Qualifications - Areas of Specialization**: A minimum of 3 years of professional performing experience and a minimum of 3 years of teaching experience in diverse styles/genres.

**Qualifications - Professional Designation**: N/A

**Qualifications - Asset**:

- Evidence of being a sought-after instructor, such as festival/competition clinician/adjudicator; guest masterclasses/workshops;
- Evidence of student success (acceptance to university music programs, awards at competitions/festivals);
- National/International performance profile as a soloist and/or collaborative and innovative interdisciplinary artist or composer-performer;
- Teaching experience at the University level.

**Salary**: Hourly rate: $71.76 - $104.07
