Do you enjoy promoting our trails, activities and attractions, festivals and events and helping visitors navigate their way through this amazing place called Squamish? Are you active in the community and enjoy spending your free time outdoors?

The visitor experience team strikes an ideal balance between guest services and retail operations. Supporting our visitors with any local information they need, both online and in person while also offering ticketing and assistance in a retail setting.

**Daily Tasks & Duties**:

- Welcome all visitors and residents to the Squamish Adventure Centre, determine their needs and provide complete and accurate service.
- Maintain superior level of customer service and high level of community knowledge on products, services, and events.
- Complete all daily and weekly tasks as outlined in the Operations Binder.
- Perform sales, restocking, and assist sales of bus & gondola ticketing
- Update the online events & camping calendar daily.
- Maintain organization and cleanliness in the Squamish Adventure Centre and its storage areas; keep the exterior of the building tidy.
- Attend monthly meetings (in-service training, product knowledge, familiarization tours, site visits).
- Collect, compile, and accurately report statistical information from the Squamish Adventure Centre in accordance with Destination BC and Tourism Squamish guidelines.
- Meet minimum Visitor Centre Network standards as determined by Destination British Columbia.
- Update and maintain digital signage in the Squamish Adventure Centre
- Handle other duties as assigned by the retail and visitor services manager
- Maintain professionalism and adhere to Tourism Squamish's uniform policies while on shift.
- **Preference is given to**:_
- Applicants with experience and knowledge of outdoor recreation opportunities in Squamish and local trails
- Applicants with experience in hospitality, retail or tourism
- Applicants with a solid understanding of surveys and data collection
- Applicants who are bi-lingual or multi-lingual
- **To be considered for this role, applicants must**:_
- Be a resident of Squamish, BC
- Willing to work a flexible schedule throughout the summer that includes weekends and statutory holidays
- Able to work a minimum of **24** **hours or up to 35 hours** per week
- *Uniform, equipment, and training provided

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time
Part-time hours: 24-30 per week

**Salary**: From $16.75 per hour
