Position Summary:

- Helps implement new technologies on the proteomics platform.
- Schedules projects for the proteomics platform.
- Executes workflows related to the proteomics platform for platform projects.

- Create, edit, and format documents, reports, and presentations related to the Olink Lab platform.
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including collaborators and suppliers, to facilitate effective communication.
- Order and maintain inventory of platform-related materials and equipment to ensure smooth operational processes.
- Assist with data entry, analysis, and quality control of data generated by the platform.
- Troubleshoot and resolve platform-related issues and queries, ensuring the seamless operation of the lab.
- Operate and maintain automated liquid handling equipment, such as pipettes, syringes, and robotic arms.
- Collaborate with the Project and Operation Manager - Biomarker’s Platform to plan incoming projects and establish timelines for sample preparation and processing.
- Aid staff and collaborators associated with the Biomarkers Discovery Platform.
- Provide necessary training for new trainees, and visitors, ensuring they are well-equipped for their experiments.
- Oversee lab management tasks, including inventory maintenance, reagents, and equipment purchases when required.
- Publication Contribution: Contribute to lab publications, providing materials and methods and QC’s data.- Manage common instruments, including washers and autoclaves.

Qualifications:
- Possesses specialized knowledge acquired through a Master’s Degree in a biomedical field.

To succeed in this role, the incumbent should possess the following qualifications:

- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

- Experience working with automated liquid handling equipment, specifically from SPT Labtech and Formulatrix.
- Experience with pipetting small volumes and multi-channel pipetting with high precision.
- Experience working with Fluidigm’s Controller, Biomark HD System, and Proximity Extension Assay (PEA) technology.
- Demonstrated motivation, multitasking efficiency, and the ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to identify and solve problems, analyze data, and implement/troubleshoot solutions.
- Experience in multiple lab centre environment: organizing common equipment and space.

Language Requirement:
Knowledge of French and English: McGill University is an English-language university where day to day duties may require English communication both verbally and in writing. The level of English required for this position has been assessed at a level 4 (qualifier) on a scale of 0-4.
