As the Project Coordinator you will be joining a high-functioning team environment as part of the Repair Services team. This is a great opportunity for a recent graduate of an Engineering Technology program, you will have an opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals within the field of repairs of turbomachinery, gearboxes, and various industrial equipment. You will gain exposure supporting the Repair Shop and assist the greater organization in achieving its annual goals and objectives as an active participant.
**Responsibilities**
In this role, your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to);
- Assist and provide total (PM) Project Management support of Blackstone shop activities in areas of turbocompressors, gas turbines, multi-stage pumps, steam turbines, expanders, gearboxes, and reciprocating compressors
- Provide shop instructions for inspection and repairs of various equipment often using existing instruction templates
- Interpret engineering drawings
- Determine repair scope to bring equipment back to serviceable condition
- Compile supporting documents and create technical reports
- Provide time and material estimates for repair work
- Accurately track costs and delivery targets on active projects
- Collaborate with shop floor personnel to discuss incoming inspection results and repair method options
- Communicate with external vendors to obtain price and delivery of products and service required for inspections/repairs
- Provide customer updates directly to customers or to internal customer contact

**Skills**:
- Mechanical or Chemical Engineering Technologist
- Strong sense of ownership, decision making capabilities, and leadership.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills
- Skilled in effective communication with people of varying technical ability
- Strong analytical skills coupled with a natural ability in solving and understanding complex issues and concepts.
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills in Word, Excel and Outlook
