Edmonton, Canada PSPP Corporation Full time

Reporting to the Chief Pension Officer, this position is accountable for supporting PSPP’s Stakeholder Relations and Pension Policy teams. This role contributes by supporting the coordination and delivery of information sessions throughout the province, assisting in updating member presentations, brochures and any other information as needed. This role may also be required to travel periodically across the province to deliver face-to-face advocacy sessions outside of normal business hours, with evenings and/or weekend activities.

The Pensions & Stakeholder Associate will also contribute by assisting in interpreting legislation, performing research, analyzing data and preparing documents for the Chief Pension Officer’s review.

Qualifications:

- A degree or diploma in related discipline or other relevant combination of education and experience
- Experience in an office environment
- Experience in analyzing complex problems
- Minimum 5 years client service experience
- Experience being able to manage multiple priorities with tight deadlines
- Knowledge of Defined Benefit pensions and administration would be considered an asset
- Must possess a valid driver’s license throughout duration of employment.
- Proficiency in both French and English is an asset.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACTIVITIES

Meeting/Event Planning:

- Overseeing all logistics related to meetings and events for the Stakeholder Relations team such as:

- Coordinate venue bookings for in-person events across the province including vendor management for the venue, AV materials, catering, set up, testing and tear down.
- Liaise with venue organizers to capture the event requirements and offer solutions
- Create and maintain registration sites for all virtual and in-person events
- Organizing and scheduling delivery of member materials and PSPP marketing material for information sessions, booths, tradeshows, etc. and managing stock
- Coordinate PSPP’s participation at conferences
- Validate invoices received from vendors and recommend for payment

Reporting and Analytics
- Analyze data using internal databases and/or external sources to report adhoc information to management
- Monitoring and reporting of employer and member event registrations
- Reporting monthly on Stakeholder Representative’s interactions
- Gathers and organizes input and feedback from stakeholders
- Assist with identifying and prioritizing data needs for PSPP initiatives
- Assist with Identifying and interpreting trends of patterns in large data sets
- Develop dashboards, graphs and other visualizations
- Assist in preparing written reports summarizing findings and recommendations
- Assist in the gathering of data for the annual report.
- Provides analytical and technical expertise while working collaboratively with the Pension Policy team in the review, interpretation, development and implementation of pension-related policies, procedures and guidelines.

Board Support
- Provide support and vacation coverage to the Board Specialist as needed. This may include, but is not limited to, development of board and committee briefings and compilation of material in a PDF format, tracking correspondence maintaining and updating the Nasdaq Boardvantage portal for board members, etc.

Stakeholder Relations Support
- Manage booking tool
- Schedule meetings in zoom as needed
- Communicate with employers to gather more information about their booking requirements
- Update website with new information and training sessions as required
- Attend employer meetings as needed
- Convey the value of the pension plan to employers and plan members by delivering of information sessions, webinars, workshops, and other events as required.
- Provide employers with Pulse Check packages ahead of meeting with Stakeholder Representatives
- Prepare Pulse Check closing letter for review by Chief Pension Officer. Send to employer once approved.
- Process Stakeholder Relations’ expenses

PSPP Plan Advocacy
- Assist in designing, developing and implementing advocacy material.
- Assist in Investigating employer questions, complaints, and concerns in a timely and effective manner as needed.

Business development and maintenance
- Create new employers in PSPP-related systems
