**Overview**:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Safety Coordinator to join our team. The Safety Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring compliance with safety regulations, developing and implementing safety policies and procedures, and providing training to employees. This is a critical role in maintaining a safe work environment for all employees.

**Duties**:

- Conduct safety orientation for new hires, ensuring completion of orientation paperwork and inputting information into Salus Pro.
- Organize and create weekly toolbox talks, scan, and save sign-in sheets, and post them on the safety board.
- Coordinate training sessions with the union, maintain training certificates, and upload records to Salus Pro.
- Maintain SWP (Safe Work Practices) training records, update SWPS as required, and ensure timely reviews.
- Develop and conduct in-house training sessions on topics such as Respirator, WHMIS, and Stress Management.
- Administer respirator fit testing and record results in Salus Pro.
- Facilitate visitor orientation via TV in the main office.
- Ensure the safety bulletin board is up to date according to WSBC requirements.
- Record and input first aid/near miss incidents into the incident log and Salus Pro, conducting formal investigations when necessary.
- Complete WSBC form 7 and upload incident investigations to the portal.
- Maintain incident files on Salus Pro, shared drive, and hard copies, ensuring compliance with return-to-work policies.
- Lead Joint Health and Safety Committee activities, including organizing meetings, ordering lunches, and recording minutes.
- Conduct monthly inspections of first aid rooms and office equipment, ordering supplies as needed.
- Monitor WSBC cost reports and accompany officers on inspections.
- Perform routine safety inspections of the plant and maintain WHMIS training.
- Provide safety statistics for meetings and project qualifications, create, and manage ECP for required jobs.
- Coordinate fire safety inspections and emergency drills, ensuring compliance with regulations.
- Prepare safety documentation for COR audits and maintain First Aid coverage and training.
- Manage contractor safety plans and execute Safety Week activities strategically before COR audits.
- Conduct weekly or biweekly safety meetings with management and update safety policies and manuals annually.
- Coordinate new plant safety procedures, including SWPS updates, emergency planning, and LOTO programs.
- Address plant IT issues and manage office supplies.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related field preferred.
- Certification in workplace safety highly desirable.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Proficiency in using safety management software (e.g., Salus Pro).
- Experience in conducting safety training sessions and managing incident investigations.
- Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards (e.g., WSBC, COR).
- Experience with purchasing and administrative tasks is a plus.

**Salary**: $65,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
