Associate Scrum Master

You will report directly to the Cloud Operations Manager, become part of our Agile Guild under the mentorship of our awesome Agile Guild Master, and work closely with some amazing and talented colleagues from across our company.
**What **You’ll** Be Doing - the day to day**
You will be working day-to-day as part of the CloudOps team within ESO's Cloud Engineering division. Key Responsibilities:
- **Lead Agile ceremonies**: You’ll run daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and everything in between. But you’ll keep things fresh—mix it up when necessary, and don’t be afraid to try new things if it means better results.
- **Prioritize & Adapt**: You’ll help the team stay focused on what’s important, but you won’t get bogged down by process. Flexibility is key—we’re not about rigidly following the book if it doesn’t make sense for the task at hand. Track, monitor, and report on key metrics and commitment progress.
- **Visibility & Communication**: You’ll keep everyone in the loop, ensuring the team’s work is transparent and progress is visible across the board. From product owners to stakeholders, you’ll make sure everyone knows what’s happening, when, and why. Assist with capacity planning, backlog grooming and work prioritization.
- **Solve Problems in Real-Time**: We need someone who can remove roadblocks, troubleshoot issues, and make decisions quickly so the team can keep pushing forward.
- **Continuous Improvement**: We love learning and getting better. Help us find ways to optimize our processes, celebrate the wins, and fix what’s not working.
- **Support the Team**: Whether it’s with reporting, prioritization, or just making sure everyone is aligned, you’ll be the go-to person who helps the Cloud Operations team excel.
**Who You Are - some of the essential things required to be successful in the role**
- **You’ve Got the Badge**. You’ve got your Scrum Master Certification (CSM or PSM preferred) and can navigate tools like Jira and Confluence with ease.
- **Agile Enthusiast**: You’ve got a minimum of 1 year experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, or something similar).
- **Curiosity**: You’re always learning, always asking questions, and never satisfied with “that’s just how it’s done.”
- **Adaptability**: Things change fast, and you’ll need to roll with the punches—whether it’s a shift in priorities or an unexpected roadblock, you know how to pivot.
- **Problem Solver**: When challenges arise (and they will), you’re the first to jump in and figure out a solution, quickly and creatively.
- **Communication Wiz**: You know how to talk to all kinds of people—whether it’s breaking down tech-speak for a non-technical stakeholder or getting the team aligned on priorities.
- **Organized but Flexible**: You can juggle multiple things at once, but you also know when it’s time to adapt or rethink the plan.
**Who You Are - **it’s** desirable if you have any of the following**
- **You Speak Cloud**: AWS, Azure, or any cloud tech jargon makes sense to you, even if you’re not an expert. You get the gist and are eager to learn more
- **You’ve Been in the Hot Seat**: If you’ve worked in fast-paced, mission-critical environments like EMS, fire departments, or hospitals, you’ll know exactly what we mean when we say, “no time to waste.”
- **You’re a Process Hacker**: You’ve got a knack for spotting where things could be smoother or faster—and aren’t afraid to pitch wild ideas to get there.
**Benefits & Perks**
ESO offers a comprehensive suite of benefits to promote health and financial security for our employees and their families. For full-time employment this includes:
