**The opportunity**
We are looking for a skilled and strategic Manager, HR Services and Total Rewards to lead our Payroll, Benefits, and HR Systems team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a critical role in shaping our HR services and total rewards programs, ensuring they are effective, aligned with our company goals, and designed to attract and retain top talent.

As the Manager of HR Services and Total Rewards, you will provide essential leadership and oversight for our Payroll, Benefits, and HR Systems functions. You will be responsible for the seamless delivery of payroll processing, pension and benefits management, HRIS optimization, and analytics reporting. Additionally, you will help lead the development and execution of our total rewards strategy, aligning compensation and benefits with our organizational objectives and values.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Leadership & Oversight: Provide guidance and strategic direction to the Payroll, Benefits, and HR Systems team, ensuring effective leadership and support.
- Payroll Operations: Oversee daily payroll activities, including audits, controls and reporting, and drive continuous improvement to enhance process efficiencies.
- HRIS Management: Manage HRIS system matters, including escalated service cases, system enhancement projects, and performance monitoring to maximize system effectiveness.
- People Metrics & Reporting: Develop and refine people metrics and reporting to support data-driven decision-making.
- Total Rewards Strategy: Contribute to designing and implementing total rewards strategies and programs that align with organizational goals to attract, retain, and motivate top talent.
- Program Effectiveness: Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of existing total rewards programs, including benefits, pensions, and compensation plans, and make recommendations for adjustments based on market trends.
- Compensation Cycle: Lead the annual compensation cycle, including salary surveys, analysis, adjustment recommendations, and manage merit and short-term incentive administration.
- Job Evaluation: Partner with HR Business Partners and Talent Attraction Specialist to manage job evaluations, review job descriptions, and ensure internal equity.
- Service Provider Management: Oversee relationships with service providers related to Payroll and Total Rewards portfolios.

**You have**
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Human Resources, Accounting, Administration or a related field.
- 8-10 years of progressive HR experience, with a focus on payroll, total rewards, and HR Systems.
- Proven leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to inspire and develop others.
- Expert knowledge of Canadian payroll legislation.
- Payroll Designation through the Canadian Payroll Association and/or Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) certification is an asset.
- Experience and knowledge of benefits and pension best practices, trends, and regulations.
- Knowledge of Canadian pension plan and tax legislation, including defined benefit and defined contribution pension plans, registered retirement savings plans and deferred profit-sharing plans.
- Proven experience in HR data management, analysis and reporting.
