Reporting to the Director of Capital Planning, Engineering, Biomed, the Project Assistant will provide assistance to the Capital Planning department on all project related activities supporting existing Niagara Health facilities.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Working in a matrix setting manage daily activities of the Capital Planning office and provide administrative and project support to all team members
- Assist in and independently plan, coordinate and implement projects of varying complexity including
- Establish project scope and independently organize stakeholders to deliver project objectives
- Monitoring the performance of the St. Catharines P3 Contract through auditing to ensure compliance with the established project agreement (PA)
- Application of scheduling, task coordination and organizational skills to facilitate the completion of tasks and to meet deadlines
Assist with all LHIN and MOH submissions
- Assist with preparation of project communications, power point presentations, and monthly reports
- Troubleshoot and initiate the creation and production of accurate, organized documents within specified time frames
- Organize meetings, conferences, special events, and travel
- Coordinate, review, and recommend signoff of incoming invoices

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Project Management education and relevant experience in the hospital setting is preferred
- Knowledge of operating in the P3 project environment is highly desirable
Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal communication and organizational skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex and concurrent administrative and project responsibilities, meet deadlines and manage change is essential
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment, prioritize activities, and exercise attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as a team player
- Excellent work performance and attendance record is essential
- Consistent and regular attendance required
- Proficiency in both official languages (English & French) will be considered an asset.
- Vaccines (COVID-19 and others) are a requirement of the job unless you have an exemption based on medical or on a ground pursuant to the Ontario Human Rights Code
