**Compensation**: $20/hour

**Schedule**: Part-time 10 hours per week

**Description**:
The **Part Time Community & Student Engagement Coordinator** is an integral member of the student services and social media team, support to current and future students. The **Community & Student Engagement Coordinator** is responsible for a range of administrative tasks which include, but are not limited to, creating various reports, coordinating orientation and graduation, collaborating with internal teams to support on any local (Vancouver) initiatives related to student services and activities, and national (Vancouver, Toronto, Montreal) initiatives related to host family recruitment and promotion of our Co-op and University Pathway programs.

The **Community & Student Engagement Coordinator** is a part-time, hourly position with up to 10 hours of work per week. The position will be on weekdays. Work hours may vary and require flexibility.

**Duties and Responsibilities**

**_ Student Services:_**
- Greeting students and guests in a friendly, welcoming manner
- Providing a warm and high-quality level of student services
- Helping with orientation and graduation

**_Activities:_**
- Research, plan, and coordinate student events/activities for ILSC & Greystone College Vancouver
- Coordinate with 3rd party activity providers
- Create marketing material to promote events/activities on campus and on social media
- Post activities on ILSC student website
- Collect payment for activities

**_Social Media:_**
- Research audience preferences and discover current trends;
- Create engaging text, image and video content;
- Design posts to sustain readers’ curiosity and create buzz;
- Stay up-to-date with changes in all social platforms ensuring maximum effectiveness
- Facilitate online conversations on social media and respond to queries;
- Report on online reviews and feedback;
- Develop an optimal posting schedule, considering web traffic and customer engagement metrics;

- Advanced knowledge of social media
- A self-starter who works well individually and in groups

**Education and Experience Required**
- Post-secondary education preferred
- Experience in customer service, event planning
- Demonstrated engagement with social media
