**Project Coordinator**, you’ll be the catalyst behind innovation on behalf of the Office of Vice-President (Research). You will be the lead in designing and executing multiple complex projects independently. Manage project dynamics - scope, schedule, cost, quality, resources, communication, and relationships, ensuring stakeholder satisfaction is at the forefront.

**What You’ll Do**:

- **Research Enterprise Event Project Management**:Planning and executing events for the University of Regina Graduate Advanced Training & Entrepreneurship (GATE) Centre. Coordinate multiple events simultaneously, maintaining effective communication with internal and external stakeholders. As well, you will develop stakeholder profiles, manage budgets, negotiate with vendors, and oversee logístical requirements and liaise with various departments to ensure seamless event execution, handle post-event analysis, and enforce university policies.
- **Office Administration**:Provide support to the Senior Advisor during absences, preparing documents, presentations, and handling inquiries on behalf of the Vice-President (Research).
- **Project Initiation**:Gather project-related information, define objectives, deadlines, and costs, and identify funding sources. You will also create preliminary project scope statements and engage stakeholders and team members.
- **Project Planning**:Develop comprehensive project management plans, refine scope requirements, and organize team structures and responsibilities.
- **Project Execution**:Lead project teams, oversee progress, manage scope changes, and ensure compliance with procurement policies. You will monitor project progress, address variances, communicate with stakeholders, and update project plans.
- **Project Close and Reporting**:Conduct final inspections, manage budgets, and ensure the completion of all project requirements.

Position Requirements

**What You’ll Bring to the Position**:

- Bachelor’s degree.
- 1-3 years experience and competency to successfully lead and direct projects.
- Project management certification preferred.

**Skills That Will Ensure Your Success in this Role**:

- Strong research, project management, and analytical skills, with the ability to analyze complex problems and develop effective solutions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience in editing and writing reports; expertise in synthesizing information and presenting it to the Vice-President (Research), faculty, staff, and students in a manner that is clear, concise, and respectful.
- Exercise sound judgment in ensuring that sensitive issues or information are handled appropriately.
- Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to work co-operatively, respectfully, and inclusively.
- Manage multiple demands of significant impact resulting from managing multiple projects in varying stage of development.
- Be a self-starter and willing to promote new ideas with good problem solving skills.
- Possess the ability to centre attention with constant work interruptions that may prevent continuous work and sustained focus on complex problems and overcome obstacles.
