**JOB SUMMARY**:
**DUTIES**:

- Under the general direction of the designated supervisor, and working within a team structure, this position is responsible for:

- Spearheading a unified approach to the delivery of a user-centric, end-to-end digital content experience across all channels and platforms.
- Collaborating with the Communication and Marketing departments in the development, documentation and maintenance of a content & channel strategy and standards.
- Driving the implementation of clear, accessible and inclusive content design guidelines and best practices for digital products.
- Overseeing the development and publishing of content within ITS’ scope of accountability.
- Leading engagements between content and product teams, enterprise technology, quality assurance and business stakeholders to ensure services are delivered from a customer perspective.
- Setting goals, developing timelines, and roadmaps for operational and content initiatives.
- Working with Product and Content teams to gather and interpret requirements to design, develop and deploy appropriate and accessible solutions.
- Working closely with design and content teams to provide recommendations on mock-ups and content decisions, including the ability to model and format content design solutions.
- Developing and implementing processes, documentation, and templates to support intake, development, quality assurance and user research/testing practices
- Managing and developing operational processes for tracking, prioritizing, and assigning service requests.
- Directing staff including setting performance standards and providing verbal input to performance appraisals.
- Coordinating the work of Operations, Development, and Content teams; including prioritizing, scheduling and assigning work, training staff, providing direction and monitoring work for excellence in service delivery.
- Managing business priorities and user needs against staffing capacity and availability.
- Monitoring and analyzing data and analytics to evaluate user behaviour and performance with the goal of continuous improvement.
- Anticipating, understanding and sharing emerging digital trends and technologies that will enhance customer experience.
- Maintaining superior stakeholder and team relationships by providing excellent service level management
- Performing other duties as assigned.
- Evening, weekend and callback work may be required.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Post-secondary education in the field of Information Technology, Computer Science/Engineering, User Experience Design and/or Information Studies
- Ten (10) years’ related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
- Five (5) years’ experience in a similar lead role working in content design, web development, and/or product design/management
- Ability to write, assess, and edit content for accuracy, clarity, accessibility, and usability.
- Knowledgeable about user-centred content design and inclusive design principles and practices
- Understanding of content distribution channels
- Knowledgeable about various Agile development core principles and practices
- Experience in testing digital products for issues and quality control
- Practical experience translating complex concepts and interactions into visually coherent wireframes or prototypes
- Experience working with business stakeholders in establishing and maintaining standards and Service Level Agreements
- Proven ability to lead and to supervise staff
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Able to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical people.
- Proven ability to think conceptually, understand the big picture and convey clearly to others
- Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems and develop innovative solutions
- Strong interpersonal skills, with experience developing and fostering teamwork and facilitating team dynamics.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships at all levels
