Paragon Soil is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Intermediate Environmental Planner to join our dynamic team. This role will focus on developing short and long-term plans for land use for various clients and projects, regulatory compliance monitoring, and supporting projects from exploration to reclamation. Reporting directly to Project Managers, the Environmental Planner will be responsible for the planning, implementation, and ongoing management of environmental programs and initiatives.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Conduct Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs) to support regulatory submissions.
- Prepare biophysical reports, development & operations plans, conservation & reclamation plans, wetlands assessments, and impact reports, as well as other documentation as required to support Applications for Approvals under the Public Lands and the Water Act.
- Act as a liaison with governmental agencies, stakeholders, and indigenous communities for consultation and approvals.
- Develop site-specific Environmental Management Plans (EMPs) and Sustainability Roadmaps.
- Conduct field surveys for soil classification, vegetation identification, and wetland delineation.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including petroleum engineers, soil scientists, and biologists, to ensure project success.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with federal, provincial, and local environmental regulations, including the Water Act, Public Lands Act, and Environmental Protection and Enhancement Act.
- Prepare and present technical reports, including compliance audits, environmental risk assessments, and mitigation strategies.

**MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Planning, Environmental Science, or related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in environmental planning or consulting.
- Strong computer skills, particularly in Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills.

**PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Experience using AutoCAD and/or GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS).
- Knowledge of various regulations and guidelines including the _Water Act_, _Public Lands Act_, _Code of Practice for Pits_, and the _Environmental Protection and Enhancement Act._
- Soil classification, vegetation identification, and wetland classification skills will be considered an asset.
