Facilities Coordinator

Versatile Media is a global company that has created an end-to-end virtual production workflow. Our new North American headquarters are based in Vancouver, Canada where we run performance capture and visualization stages that run on real-time technology. Our focus is on Virtual Production, combining real-time rendering technology, traditional film workflows and proprietary research and development, as well as creating original animation and live action IP for Sci-Fi and fantasy genres. Our new LED stages in South Burnaby are now open.
As a **Facilities Coordinator**, you'll be overseeing our day-to-day operations which includes regular maintenance and housekeeping, constant communication, and coordination for a virtual production film studio. There is a high level of interaction with staff and clients but tidying up and organizing are daily responsibilities of the role. Daily responsibilities:
- Welcoming and directing visitors, clients, artists and staff. Ensuring NDA’s are signed and filed when needed.
- Maintaining facility, stages, and kitchen; ordering office supplies and other equipment.
- Supporting studio projects, demos and tours by answering questions, providing guidance and helping out whenever possible.
- Receiving deliveries, coordinating shipments and pickups, sorting/distributing mail.
- Tracking and maintaining facility equipment for IT and other departments.
- Assisting Production and Marketing in the coordination of events.
- Weekly shopping trips to suppliers and preparing for social events.
- Traveling between our facilities (Vancouver and Burnaby) a minimum of once per week.
- Supporting other Facilities staff with their daily responsibilities.
- Assisting Production, IT, Human Resources and Marketing departments as needed.
- Communicating with building management and vendors; representing the studio with professionalism and attention to potential issues.
Ideal requirements:
- A background or strong interest in Film, VFX or Gaming.
- 1+ year of experience in a related Facilities or Production role.
- Class 5 driver’s license and access to a car.
- Willingness to solve problems with a calm demeanor, positive attitude and customer-service focus.
- English language proficiency and expertise with Google Suite.
- Some early morning, evening and weekend work (overtime) may be required.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
Salary range is $40,000 - $45,000
