**Shipping Logistics Lead**

A Shipping Logistics Lead will be joining our team to build out our international shipping and logistics capabilities as a company. The role will initially involve both strategic and execution responsibilities until a team is potentially built out in the future. The strategic component of the role will be to analyze the current state of our shipping logistics opportunities and challenges and to advise on the roadmap of initiatives to be tackled. In tandem, this role will take over the day-to-day shipping operations work which involves ensuring that all orders that are above the de minimus value threshold and therefore require customs clearance, are cleared in a timely fashion.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Management of day-to-day customs clearance for orders above de minimis value threshold (Concierge and Dropship/Quickship Inventory Orders)
- Customs Clearance and Waybill process design
- Assessment of inputs to PBP Shipping Calculator and advising on ways to improve accuracy
- Assessment of existing shipping logistics capabilities across PBP as it relates to both Organic orders below de minimis value threshold and Concierge & Dropship/Quickship Inventory orders above de minimis value threshold
- Advising on potential ways to reduce shipping rates as it relates to both Organic orders below de minimis value threshold and Concierge & Dropship/Quickship Inventory orders above de minimis value threshold
- Researching ideal shipping techniques, routing, and carriers
- Documenting recommended shipping logistics roadmap based on findings
- Ownership of PBP Shipping Calendar
- Selecting carriers and negotiating contracts and rates
- Advising on the product roadmap for integrating shipping capabilities into Maker Portal
- Working with Sales Operations to incorporate logistics processes into existing operations processes

**ABOUT YOU**
- Experience with business administration, logistics, supply chain, or other relevant industries
- 5+ years experience working in international shipping logistics role
- Deep understanding of the international shipping logistics industry - specifically wholesale import and export
- Knowledge of US and Canadian customs clearance processes
- Solid understanding of logistics and inventory management software
- Outstanding analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Fluency in Spanish also an asset
- Experience in Product Management also an asset

We’re a global company with team members in Canada, Kenya, India, the USA, Türkiye, Mexico, UK, South Africa, and Colombia. You will be working with teams across multiple time zones so we expect you to work within your standard time zone working hours, but be available from time to time for team meetings that may fall outside of your regular working hours.
