The role of the Bike Valet Coordinator is pivotal in overseeing the on site operations of Bike Valet setups at various seasonal and event locations. As a supervisor/on-site team leader, you will lead a team of attendants, ensuring the seamless setup, operation, and teardown of Bike Valet events. The Bike Valet Coordinator may drive company vehicles, bringing equipment to different locations and oversee the team's on-site activities.
**Responsibilities**:
- Lead and supervise a team of Bike Valet Attendants, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure efficient and effective operation of bicycle parking facilities.
- Coordinate the setup, operation, and dismantling of lightweight equipment and bicycle parking facilities at seasonal and event locations.
- Drive the van carrying Bike Valet equipment to designated locations, adhering to safe driving practices and ensuring the timely arrival and setup of facilities.
- Welcome patrons and oversee the secure parking of bicycles, addressing inquiries about the Bicycle Valet service, and ensuring exceptional customer service delivery.
- Collaborate with event organizers and stakeholders to plan and execute Bike Valet services.
- Maintain inventory of equipment and supplies, ensuring proper storage, maintenance, and organization.
- Uphold the organization's values and commitment to sustainable transportation practices, promoting awareness and engagement among team members and patrons.
- Provide regular reports and feedback to management regarding operational activities, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
**Qualifications**
- Possession of a valid driver's license (Class 7 or 5) is a crucial asset
- Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role, preferably in event and people management, customer service, or outdoor recreation.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to coordinate multiple tasks, prioritize responsibilities, and manage time effectively.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a positive and approachable demeanor conducive to effective team leadership and customer interaction.
- Demonstrated commitment to sustainable transportation and environmental stewardship, with a passion for promoting active lifestyles and community engagement.
- Ability to perform basic physical tasks and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by event schedules and operational needs.
**Job Types**: Part-time, Fixed term contract, Casual, Seasonal
Contract length: 6 months
**Salary**: $21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10 - 25 per week
