**Work Arrangement: On-call/Casual Employment**
**Location: Various seasonal and events locations within Metro Vancouver**
**Compensation: $25/hr**

**About the Role**
As a Bike Valet Coordinator, you are the driving force behind the seamless execution of our events. This position involves not only coordinating and overseeing the logistics of each event but also transporting necessary equipment to event sites. With a competitive wage to match the responsibility of managing logistics and ensuring everything runs smoothly, you will be an essential part of creating memorable experiences.
**Responsibilities**:
- **Leadership & Supervision**: Direct and support a team of Bike Valet Attendants, ensuring high standards of service and operational efficiency. Train and mentor new staff, fostering a supportive and professional environment.
- **Event Operations**: Manage the setup, smooth operation, and teardown of mobile bike parking facilities. This includes transporting, assembling, and dismantling lightweight equipment.
- **Transport & Logistics**: Safely drive the company van to transport Bike Valet equipment to and from event locations, adhering to all traffic and safety regulations.
- **Customer Service Excellence**: Provide a welcoming atmosphere for event attendees, manage the secure check-in/out of bicycles, and handle any inquiries with utmost professionalism.
- **Collaboration & Planning**: Work closely with event organizers and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and execution of Bike Valet services at various venues.
- **Inventory & Maintenance**: Oversee the inventory of equipment and supplies, ensuring everything is well-maintained, properly stored, and ready for use.
- **Sustainability Advocacy**: Promote sustainable transport and environmental responsibility, engaging both team members and patrons in these values.
- **Reporting & Feedback**: Regularly report to management on operational successes, issues, and areas for improvement, contributing to the continual enhancement of our services.
**Qualifications**
- Possession of a valid driver's license (Class 7 or 5) is a crucial asset
- Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role, preferably in event and people management, customer service, or outdoor recreation.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to coordinate multiple tasks, prioritize responsibilities, and manage time effectively.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a positive and approachable demeanor conducive to effective team leadership and customer interaction.
- Demonstrated commitment to sustainable transportation and environmental stewardship, with a passion for promoting active lifestyles and community engagement.
- Ability to perform basic physical tasks and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by event schedules and operational needs.
