**About the role**

We are looking for a highly motivated individual to assume an adjuster role, handling all lines of subrogation claims within our Mississauga, Ontario location. As a **Claims Representative I, Subrogation** you will be required to ensure prompt recoveries of monies owing to Intact Insurance as part of the Regional Subrogation Team.

**What you'll do here**
- Deliver and exceed on all key performance indicators as it relates to the total amount of recovery dollars, the percentage of total outstanding recoveries, file closures, claims leakage

control and expense management.
- Develop and execute on equitable recovery strategies on all appropriate files.
- Develop and execute on Subrogation investigation strategies in collaboration with other claims units.
- Obtain prompt and reasonable settlement recoveries directly with policy holders and third parties or through external resources.
- Work directly with external vendors (legal, Independent Adjusters, Engineers) to ensure prompt and considerable recoveries while controlling expenses.
- Work collaboratively with all claim departments, including Automobile and Property.
- Deliver on astounding customer service to brokers, customers and colleagues.
- Contribute to the team success by consistently leveraging Intact’s best practices.
- Achieve greatness through your high productivity.

**What you bring to the table**
- A strong knowledge of Property, Automobile or Subrogation claims handling acquired through 1-3 years of claims handling experience.
- Superior negotiation skills a must
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational and planning skills
- Experience in handling litigation files both Small Claims Court and Superior Court Actions an asset.
- Experience in working on Guidewire an asset
- Willingness to start or working towards CIP designation
