Admin Support Associate

**Description:
- Temporary Full Time- We currently have a Junior Medical Underwriter opening for our Group Customer department. This role will effectively deliver a tailored customer experience to those seeking group insurance or individual health plan(s) with Canada Life.**What you will do**
- Responsible for assessing, investigating, administrating, and communicating evidence of insurability on individual applicants for life, disability, critical illness, or health coverage.
- Responsibility for accurate assessment of premiums and premium refunds; ensuring that customers are appropriately billed for the services they have purchased.
- Respond to customer or Advisor’s telephone and written inquires such as status or general policy inquires, coverage terminations, requests for additional information and decline reasons
- Support Team Managers and staff with special requests such as new process changes.
- Responsible for managing accuracy of premium billing such as: establishing the initial premium rate, ongoing refunds & adjustments
- Authorize cheque requests and prepare monthly medical fee invoices.
- Produce status reports for policy holders.

**What you will bring**
- Ability to manage multiple priorities without sacrificing quality.
- At least 2 years experience in group life and health benefits
- Strong knowledge of group life and health benefits landscape and the Individual Health, Group and Creditor product shelf.
- Takes initiative; able to work independently to problem-solve and identify solutions that meet customer needs
- The base salary for this position is between **$37,300.00****:

- $ 50,400.00** annually. This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc). If you are selected to move forward in our recruitment process, your recruiter will be able to discuss additional details of our total rewards program with you.- For student opportunities only- For our student opportunities, the base salary will be dependent on the number of work terms you have completed along with other factors depending on your program.-
