**What's the role?**:
The role of the Compensation Analytics Analyst is the key consultative resource to functional business leaders and human resource business partners in Hilti North America (HNA) compensation philosophy, policies, and procedures. This job is heavily involved in creation of compensation tools, data modeling, cost impact analysis, market & equity analysis and data validation. While this role is heavily involved in analysis and data modeling, foundational and functional understanding of compensation and HR-related structures is imperative to perform duties.

**What does the role involve?**:

- Strong understanding of how the compensation structure works and is managed to be able to partner with stakeholders on data modeling and cost impact analysis, while understanding the impact on various business groups.
- Recommend spending and cost impact to Executive Steer Co. on special projects and analysis requested from the Steer Co.
- Provide guidance to business functions and human resource partners in compensation-related data. Educate the business and build strong relationships with various stakeholders.
- Advise HR Partners on more complex and non-routine compensation issues, salary offers, and compensation analysis/reporting
- Proactively look for, and recommend, solutions for misaligned process, compensation tools, and data management.
- Partner with HRIS and Payroll team members to proactively audit compensation and job data within HR systems to ensure 100% accuracy
- Complete impact analysis and modeling, as needed, for various compensation updates and proposed changes
- Support & partner with the reporting and analytics team on bonus plan impact and team member variable compensation payments, as dictated by business needs.

**What you need is**:

- Advanced excel skills, required (VLookup, nested formulas, know how to nest some formulas)
- Experience creating and managing large date sets and modeling, required
- Experience in compensation, required
- Demonstrated project management and multi-tasking abilities, required
- Strong and demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple competing priorities, required
- Strong communication skills, required. Ability to partner with the business and ask meaningful questions about topics. Ability to understand up and down stream implications, required.
- Ability to understand the process from a micro to macro level and understands when to seek out clarifying information from the business.
- Strong aptitude and willingness to gain advancement in compensation analytics and special projects, preferred
