Mount Pleasant Group of Cemeteries is a not-for-profit organization that has been caring for families in the GTA since 1826. We operate ten cemeteries, nine funeral centres and four cremation centres, all serving the distinct needs of the local communities where they are located. We are looking for a casual **Receptionist **to join our team at Elgin Mills Cemetery.

***Front Desk Operations**
- Welcome visitors and clients with a warm and professional demeanor.
- Answer a high volume of incoming calls and provide accurate information to callers where possible.
- Manage the reception area, ensuring it is clean, organized, and presentable.

***Administrative Support**
- Complete assigned clerical work as volume of reception area allows.
- Create documents, receipts and invoices.
- Process payments, service requests, wreath orders and flowerbed program.
- Assist with office inventory control, including cremation urn inventory, monitoring wreaths and office supplies.

**Communications**
- Communicate effectively with staff, clients, and visitors to ensure a positive experience.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and handle inquiries with discretion.

**Other**
- Other sundry duties as assigned.

***Hours/Days of Work**:

- Every Saturday with additional days as business needs require.
- This applicant must be able to work additional days and other locations as required.

**Qualifications**:

- At least one (1) year college certificate/diploma or higher in business and/or other related disciplines; or equivalent combination of work experience, training and education.
- At least one (1) year of previous experience in a similar role
- A valid Ontario “G” driver’s license and acceptable driver’s abstract
- Commitment to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; team player.
- Ability to multi-task in a busy office environment.
- Understanding and knowledge of clerical responsibilities.
- Working knowledge of the death care industry would be considered an asset.
- Intermediate proficiency of Windows and MS Excel, Word, and Outlook.
