OUR team is completely mobile and digital - we work from Toronto, Mexico, Spain, and all over Ontario - we’re all Canadian and work with Canadian companies.

**Key Responsibilities**:
- Manage a portfolio of clients, providing exceptional bookkeeping and accounting services and maintaining strong client relationships.
- Analyze financial reports, including Profit & Loss, Debtors, Creditors, and Balance
Sheet, and provide personalized recommendations for improving clients' financial health and business success.
- Use proactive communication to engage with clients and provide valuable tips and recommendations to help them improve their business success.
- Use a client follow-up system to ensure that there are no gaps in communication and that all client inquiries and requests are handled promptly and professionally.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date bookkeeping records tailored to each client's specific needs and requirements.
- Provide clear, concise explanations of the bookkeeping and accounting process and benefits to clients to help them understand the work being done.
- Be open to feedback from clients and use this feedback to continually improve the customer experience.
- Responsible for achieving KPIs, setting goals, following up with clients, and evaluating the performance of the assigned Bookkeeping Team
- Use autonomy to trigger the need for a new team member and evaluate workload to trigger the need for a price increase.
- Conduct quality control of files, CRA and Service Canada responsibilities, report generating, communication with clients, beyond reports - getting clients to Island client status, and pod management - team management.
- Analyze bookkeeping and accounting data and reconcile bank and credit card accounts.
- Use CRA, my business account, QuickBooks Desktop and QBO, and feel comfortable with online programs such as Wise, Stripe, Shopify, PayPal, etc.
- Work with entrepreneurs and have leadership experience.
- Be teamwork oriented and have teaching experience (or something along those lines).
**Qualifications**:
1. Experience as a bookkeeper or accountant
2. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and team members.
3. Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple clients and priorities simultaneously.
4. Strong analytical skills and the ability to analyze financial reports and provide personalized recommendations.
5. Proficient in bookkeeping software such as Quickbooks online (must), QuickBooks desktop, Xero, wave
6. Highly capable of using CRM, Kanban tools
7. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
8. Ability to troubleshoot any bookkeeping related tools
9. Ability to work independently and take ownership of client pods.
**What will your workday look like?**
As a member of our bookkeeping team, your daily tasks will include:
- Completing reconciliations and ensuring accuracy in multiple client files.
- Processing payroll.
- Communicating with clients regularly to provide and analyze financial reports that go beyond basic Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet formats, so clients can see exactly where their money is being spent and the overall health of their business.
- Supervising the bookkeeping team to ensure quality work and client satisfaction.
- Taking ownership of the bookkeeping team’s goals, outcomes, follow-ups, and performance, including communication with clients and tracking the bookkeeping team’s progress.
