TRAINING INTERNSHIP in Bookkeeper for College/University Credit
General Purpose: Preparation of materials and completion of specific projects, while ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments, and goals. The intern will learn best practices in marketing, communications, and artist management from experienced staff.
Responsibilities include:
- Accounts Receivable
- Accounts Payable
- Manage Consignment Memo & Billing
- Create Shipment Invoicing & Billing
- Check & Enter Vendor Invoices
- Check & Enter Customer Credits
- Prepare Monthly A/R Sales Invoicing & A/P Purchase Statements
- Prepare Monthly Sales Representatives Sales Commissions
- Reconcile Bank and Credit Card Accounts
- Help prepare Financial Reports for End of Year Tax Filing
- Maintain chart of accounts by verifying, allocating, and posting monthly transactions and journal entries
- Work with Accounts Receivable Manager and Customers to ensure proper and timely collections of receivables and memo consignments billing and status
- Work with Accounts Payable Manager and Vendors to ensure that invoices are correctly posted and provide monthly vendor payment/check run list to Partners for approval
- Work with Invoicing and Shipping Dept to ensure that invoices are properly generated and merchandise shipped according to company guidelines and policy
- Work with Expense & Petty Cash Manager to ensure all expenses are verified and reconciled with invoices and that expenditure controls follow Company policy and procedures
- Monthly review of Independent Sales Representatives sales performance

**REQUIREMENTS**:
- Currently enrolled in College or University in the fields of business, project management, marketing, accounting, or other related fields
- Strong organizational skills and good record keeping
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Effective in multi-tasking and good in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, basic database knowledge
- Knowledge of project management techniques and tools
