Job Overview:
The Accounts Receivable Specialist will play an integral role in our continued growth and success. Under the supervision of the Director of Finance, the Accounts Receivable Specialist will be responsible for managing our receivables and working with our sales team and customers to ensure timely payment.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our finance team. As an Accounts Receivable Specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing invoices, and ensuring timely payment collection.

**Responsibilities**:

- Process customer payments by recording cheques, EFT’s, and credit card transactions.
- Reconcile customer accounts to ensure accuracy.
- Monitor the A.R Aging to ensure customer payments are up to date.
- Follow up with customers regarding overdue payments.
- Investigate and liaise with customers to resolve payment discrepancies.
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve payment discrepancies or billing errors.
- Liaise with our delivery drivers for product delivery or return when payment is not available.
- Prepare and process invoices for non-sales related customers.
- Answer phone calls and respond to customer inquiries in a professional manner
- Assist with month-end closing activities related to accounts receivable
- Chair weekly Accounts Receivable meeting.
- Special projects as requested.

**Requirements**:

- Minimum 3 years of experience with a strong background in accounting.
- Proven experience as an Accounts Receivable Clerk or in a similar role.
- Familiarity with basic accounting principles and procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and account analysis.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including written and oral communication skills.
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office skills and ERP systems.
- Excellent communication and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must pass pre-employment screening (Criminal and Background Check).
