**Who We Are**

**SUMMARY**

The various Innovation Councils at BGIS supports the success of the various workstreams including strategic management, business planning, governance, business transformation and organizational change, project management, business development, technology and innovation, and other administration services.

The **Innovation Program Specialist **is responsible for leading a client-facing Innovation Council and further the mandate of innovation on the account. This will include managing the intake of ideas, governance activities, formalizing strategies, working with lines of business, and moving pilot initiatives forward. This position reports to the Senior Director - Energy, Sustainability & Innovation.

**KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**

**Strategy, Workstream Planning and Governance**
- Framework: Maintain and update the Innovation framework in place to drive, track and report on Innovations and the various stages of initiatives proposed.
- Workstream Planning: Manage and facilitate the planning and life cycle of Innovations with various workstreams. Support workstreams and functional teams with business planning activities including facilitating business planning workshops with functional teams to development detailed master plans.
- Governance & Organizational Performance: Support the design, implementation and facilitation of governance and business performance management activities around the Innovation Council.
- Internal Resource: Act as an internal resource to team members to support the generation of innovations, develop action plans, articulate outcomes.

**Communications**
- Regular Council Meetings: Coordinate and support key monthly meetings of the Innovation Council. Manage stakeholder engagement and ensure broad reach to various workstreams.
- Report on the success and outputs of various of innovations completed, outline “how will we measure success” at the onset of each initiative.

**Technology and Innovation**
- Engage with various corporate teams to understand what technology and innovations already deployed can be leverage in this role.
- Support technology and innovation tools, processes, training, and related initiatives.
- Support innovation research and integration into our processes, products and services.
- Support the use of business intelligence, analytics, and AI internally and through product and service innovation.

**Operational Excellence**

**Standards and Policy**:

- Support leadership in the development and implementation of department policies, standards, and best practices around Innovation.
- Support the development and maintenance of department templates related to Innovation.

**Process Management**:

- Ensure all Innovation Council supporting documents (e.g. Work Instructions, Standards, Forms/Templates, and Policies) are identified and documented.

**Events and Administration**
- Support client and department events as requested, engage with external speakers.
- Engage with council members to identify potential events and speakers of interest.

**KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS**

**Knowledge & Experience**
- Undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Strategy, Communications, Marketing or related discipline.
- Experience in Corporate Commercial Real Estate an asset.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant work experience required preferably in commercial real estate, business administration, technology, and innovation preferred.
- Working experience and knowledge in real estate technology, energy or sustainability an asset.
