The Human Resources Services team consists of functional units such as HR Operations (Payroll and Data Management, HR Client Advisory Services, HR Systems Strategy, Reporting and Analytics), Talent, Equity & Development; Health, Safety Well-being & Labour Relations; Compensation, Benefits & Retrement Programs and our Strategic Implementation team who enable the delivery of comprehensive Human Resources programs and services in collaboration with leaders, HR area offices and HR practitioners across our community.

**About the Position**

Reporting to the Associate Director, Talent, Equity and Development, the Program Manager Employment Equity and Workplace Experience Initiatives will be responsible for supporting the programmatic and integrated infrastructure, facilitation, planning, coordination and implementation of institutional workplace employee experience initiatives that are aligned with HR priorities, including employment equity programming, engagement and diverse talent strategies to advance McMaster strategic priorities. In addition, critical to this role will be completing research, analysis and reporting on trending as it relates to employment experience initiatives that is integrated with talent reporting, engagement strategy and employment equity.

This position manages the successful coordination and implementation of a wide range of workplace experience and employment equity programs and initiatives such as institution-wide training programs, employment equity and systems review, Faculty and Staff hiring policies, employment equity census, applicant diversity survey, employment equity facilitator program and employee resource groups, in collaboration with institutional partners, equity-deserving groups, employee groups and other key partners as required.

The Program Manager is also responsible for the research, design, and delivery of key employment and engagement metrics, data analysis and reporting including the employment equity census report, applicant diversity survey report, faculty, and staff policy implementation reports, talent reporting including top employer analysis and customized Faculty and department employment equity reports.

**Core Areas of Accountability**
- **Program Management & Coordination**
- Facilitates the development and deployment of new people and culture initiatives and outcomes of the recent Workplace and Employee Experience Committee recommendations in collaboration with senior leaders and identified committees, including strategic programs, actions and initiatives that enable the delivery of the university and HR strategic priorities
- In consultation with HR partners and working with various institutional partners and equity-deserving groups internally and externally, develops and leads a wide range of employment equity and engagement programming and related activities
- Oversees the successful design and implementation of volunteer and engagement programming inclusive of Employment Equity Facilitator programming and various volunteer committees across the institution, including the facilitation of the required programming and coordination of SMEs on content development, training, ensure cross-organizational membership and to foster communities of practice
- Facilitates the successful implementation of an Employment Systems Review including the execution of an RFP selection process, facilitation and engagement of key stakeholders and where the project is delivered on time and within budget
