**Title**: Health Benefits Assessor
**Contract**: Permanent
**Hours**: 37.5 Hours - Mon to Fri
**Location**: Alberni Office - Hybrid (2 days in office)
**Union**: PSAC (Public Service Alliance of Canada)

**About the role**
As a Health Benefits Assessor, you will - Review, assesses and adjudicates First Nation Health Benefits requests. Including processing payments and client reimbursements. You will conduct and provide analysis/recommendations regarding exceptions and appeals; program information to key stakeholders and maintain records and systems.

**About you**
To be Successful in this role you will have:

- Grade 12, including completion of one year of post-secondary education, plus one (1) year of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- Knowledge of First Nations social, health, economic, and political issues
- Conflict resolution skills
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Knowledge of data entry, manipulation, and retrieval techniques using a variety of automated systems and software

You may have experience in Assessor/Coordinator & Client Care Coordinator role
