The incumbent will facilitate meetings with internal stakeholders and third-party contractors to research details and validate current Terminal Operations Standard Operating Procedures. Assist the business in identifying gaps and develop SOPs with information that is clear, coherent, complete, accurate and not ambiguous.

**Note: Due to business needs, this position is required to be fully on-site based at 7700 Hopcott Rd, Delta BC**

Create a document library, outlining process for recording, tracking, and updating Terminal Operations Standard Operating Procedures and their supporting documents.

**What you’ll do**
- Work with internal teams to obtain an in-depth understanding of the business and documentation requirements.
- Analyze existing content in collaboration with the SME’s focusing on reuse or requiring edits and updates.
- Identify with Terminal operations undocumented gaps in processes and develop SOPs to mitigate any risk.
- Produce high-quality documents that meets applicable standards and is appropriate for its intended audience.
- Write easy-to-understand user interface text, online help and develop guides.
- Proactively analyze and recommend changes that will drive business performance; maintain safety, improve productivity and efficiency.
- Develop and deliver a document tracker and user guide for SOP’s and their supporting documents into the information architecture SharePoint.

**What you’ll bring**
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant fields such as English, Communications, Business, Logistics degree in a technical field such at IT, computer science or transportation
- 3 - 5 years of experience in the same or a similar role and/or acceptable combination of proven education and experience.
- Proven working experience in technical writing.
- Ability to deliver high quality documentation paying attention to detail.
- Ability to quickly grasp complex business processes and make them easily understandable in writing.
- Excellent written skills in English
- Advanced in identifying / adapting communication to the knowledge and understanding of the audience.
- Cohesive and clear in verbal and written communication
- Open to different perspectives and incorporate into the delivery.
- Solid document management using various software.
- Create User manuals, for the end users, outlining process clearly.
- Document guidelines and procedures for the business to ensure a safe and productive operation.
- While editing all drafts must consider, proofreading, content review, spelling and punctuation, structure and style, tone of voice and technical vocabulary.
- Documents must be created for a diverse target audience.
- Active listener, observant and ensure every voice of authority shows with feedback incorporated in the consultation process.
- Able to identify and get to a common ground when it gets hard to understand product language, team members, and when target audience fall into disagreements.
- Must be able to plan, structure, and manage different technical documentation and deliver in a timely manner.

We require a full-time commitment Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week with an hourly rate of $26.00/hour.
