Assistant Director of Marketing and Business

**PRIMARY PURPOSE**:
This position is responsible to assist the Director of Marketing in the creation, development, and implementation of center’s strategic marketing direction. The role is also responsible for business development (sales) of marketing inventory to generate revenue.
**PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITES**:
- Create compelling social media content (reels, images, captions), keep up with social trends and manage Instagram and TikTok.
- Support and assist event management and execution of campaigns.
- Create sophisticated power points presentations used for stakeholder reporting.
- Review and understand Marketing budget, Marketing financials and various related reports
- Assist in the development of solid on-going relationships with partners and sponsors to address performance, execution, and future growth potential.
- Frequently review and understand center sales and traffic tends and reports.
- Assist with the promotion and implementation of platform programs in a professional and timely manner and measuring of results.
- Responsible for managing the local production and use of on-mall collateral and materials.
- Participate in Manager on Duty rotation as needed, attend staff meetings, and uphold other relevant management responsibilities. You will be expected to work one Saturday of the month and some holidays including Boxing Day.
- Assist in writing and creating retailer correspondence and communications.
- Work with DMBD to keep an up-to-date media contact list and build a network of media contacts.
- Assist DMBD with coordinating tenant and partner meetings.
**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS**:
- Bachelor’s degree is a requirement.
- 2-3 years of experience in sales, sponsorships, strategic or corporate marketing, event management and budgets preferred.
- Solid knowledge of all social media platforms with a strong ability to engage viewers and followers, leverage monitoring tools for insights
- Working knowledge of the retail and media industry is an asset.
- Able to multi-task in a fast-paced, changing environments and be able to prioritize multiple, often competing priorities.
- Well-developed oral and written communication skills. You will be writing narratives, presentations and constantly communicating with stakeholders.
- Excellent Word, Excel, and Power Point skills. Proficiency in PowerPoint is a must
- Flexibility to work varied schedules including weekends and evenings.
