Eastward Energy is currently seeking an** Analyst, Regulatory Affairs,** to join our team. As an Analyst, Regulatory Affairs, you will be responsible for managing compliance filings and ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements while contributing to our strategic initiatives.

**Responsibilities**:
Reporting to the Senior Director, Regulatory and Government Affairs, the Analyst, Regulatory Affairs will be responsible for the following:

- Coordinating surveys, annual reports, and data required for regulatory compliance filings and obligations.
- Analyzing and monitoring energy trends and developing documenting briefing notes and recommendations for Senior Management regarding regulatory strategy.
- Responding to inquiries from stakeholders and engaging with internal Business Units, regulators, and other energy stakeholders to ensure seamless regulatory compliance.
- Preparing materials such as data, presentations, and speaking notes for Eastward Energy in advance of industry, stakeholder, and association committee meetings.
- Ensuring compliance with respect to carbon pricing, franchise rights, sustainability, and ESG objectives.
- Providing assistance to Senior Management and internal Business Units regarding regulatory changes in the marketplace
- Assisting with certain aspects of the Company's gas supply function.
- Liaising and coordinating with external legal counsel and internal Eastward Business Units on regulatory matters.

**Experience and Skills**:

- Strong professional writing skills;
- Ability to research, read, and review complex regulatory material;
- Proficiency in delivering presentations;
- Analytical mindset to effectively interpret and analyze data; and
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with work groups across the organization.
- Solid organizational skills with the ability to work effectively within tight deadlines.
- Superior communication skills, both written and oral.
- Self-motivated and eager to learn.

**Qualifications**:

- A university bachelor's degree with at least two years of relevant work experience.
- Experience in the energy industry or with a regulated utility would be considered an asset.
