We currently have an opportunity for an **Assistant Manager, Loan Administration** to join our team in the **Linden Ridge** branch. As the Assistant Manager, Loans Administration you will assist with the implementation of operational plans, achievement of business results and compliance in all areas relating to loans administration in the areas of consumer, small business, corporate and agricultural lending as well as centralized processing administration processes relating to property tax, the personal property registry, CUMIS Insurance and fire insurance and leading the Consumer Loans Clerks.

**Responsibilities**:

- Ensure understanding of corporate vision and strategy and partner effectively with the Manager, Loans Administration and others to execute on operational plans
- Assist the Manager, Loans Administration to ensure team members maintain clear lines of communication, meet service level agreements, and achieve individual and organizational goals
- Assist with reviewing and updating relevant metrics to communicate progress towards agreed upon goals and targets
- Assist the Manager, Loans Administration with the communication and promotion of change initiatives within the organization
- Actively participate in department meetings and coaching sessions
- Provide back up support and coverage for the Manager, Loan Administration or peers as required
- Foster a strong team environment that will attract, retain and develop existing and potential staff; assist in the establishment and guidance of various consumer and corporate loan administration working groups
- Provide day to day leadership to the Consumer Loan Clerk team (including staffing decisions, monthly coaching and performance management) and guidance to the Loan Administration team as a whole
- Organize, schedule and monitor administrative activities to ensure service delivery is provided within prescribed service level requirements
- Identify training and development needs, coordinate and conduct training for new and seasoned staff to ensure maximum quality of service is maintained and to promote staff growth
- Investigate and resolve service related issues or questions as required
- Assist with the development and interpretation of policies, best business practices and procedures relating to loans administration
- Engage the team in finding efficiencies within Consumer and Corporate Loans Administration Departments; assist with the development and implementation of best practices and procedures relating loans administration
- Review reporting and metrics to identify issues early and take required action, escalating issues to other levels of leadership or functions as required
- Participate in the development of departmental budgets and operational plans; ensuring staffing levels and discretionary spending remains within budgeted levels
- Ensure validation of lending documentation relating to corporate legal structures, signing authorities, taking of security, etc.
- Achieve targets by ensuring staff members have the tools, information and training they require to deliver results

**Qualifications**:

- Grade 12 diploma, plus a minimum of 2 years post secondary education, additional legal (such as a legal assistant program), and/or administration courses and 4 to 6 years of job related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Knowledge of credit union/FI operations
- Demonstrated understanding of contracts and legal processes (ex. land titles, powers of attorney, etc.)
- Working knowledge of lending policies, regulatory environments, and business structures
- Working knowledge of loan/mortgage documentation and security requirements for consumer, small business, corporate and agricultural lending
- Software proficiency
- Change management /communication
