Job Title: Medical Science Liaison - Aesthetics - West

Location: Vancouver or Calgary

Job Description

For this purpose, the Medical Scientific Liaison (MSL) is a key internal expert, providing a field-based scientific and clinical support to healthcare professionals to maintain a high level of medical, scientific, and technical knowledge and expertise in relation to Dermatology & Aesthetics.

The MSL develops and maintains professional relationships with internal and external customers both physicians and extenders to provide comprehensive medical & scientific and education support to Galderma initiatives in assigned areas of interest. The MSL will focus on providing healthcare practitioners, clinical investigators, professional organizations and patients organizations, the opportunity for scientific exchange and gathering insights to provide medical, scientific and education support for prioritized services and products within Galderma’s portfolio

Key Responsibilities
- Provide scientific and technical support for key account managers and the field-based sales force, behaving as a credible partner to support their needs through nonpromotional trainings, education, presentations, and other engagement.
- Develop and maintain professional and trustful relationships with key opinion/ thought leaders (KOLs/KTLs) and academic centres to ensure access to current medical and scientific information on areas of therapeutic interest.
- Develop, maintain, and share internally and externally an in-depth knowledge of Dermatology/Aesthetics.
- Develop and implement effective educational programs to increase scientific awareness of Galderma Integrated Dermatology products
- Deliver credible scientific and medical presentations to physicians, healthcare providers and other stakeholders as needed.
- Identify, Develop, and maintain contact with local, regional and national key opinion leaders and experts through internally approved field engagement plans
- Provide field-based support to assist Medical Information in dealing with enquiries.
- Maintain knowledge and awareness of clinical research and publications in the Dermatology & Aesthetics’ fields.
- Act as an internal scientific expert for Galderma integrated dermatology products and areas of interest for internal and external Audiences, including training external speakers and sales force training.
- Gather and generate actionable insights through: Attend congresses, engage with external stakeholders, stay current in relevant scientific literature, track Influencers on social media, prepare summaries, and present key perspectives to Galderma teams including competitor analyses

Skills & Qualifications
- Medical, Pharmacy, Nursing or higher degree qualification (e.g. MSc, PhD) in life sciences field
- Dermatology/Aesthetics experience (essential)
- 2 years experience related to medical pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical devices industry
- Demonstrated experience of developing and presenting scientific/medical content at a variety of levels and different audiences
- Demonstrated ability to organize, prioritize, and work effectively in a constantly changing environment.
- Ability to develop good relationships and credibility with medical professionals
- 20% travel requirement
