Medical Advisor, Dermatology/Immunology

Location : Ontario/Quebec

**Job Description**:
The Medical Advisor will create and lead the execution the local medical activities, part of the regional plan and global strategy, under the supervision of the Medical Director. They will provide thorough up-to-date medical and scientific expertise in the therapeutic-disease area to create and drive Galderma medical plan delivery to key stakeholders and build partnership with them. They will work closely with the internal cross-functional partners and with the medical dermatology community, patient organizations and external stakeholders, to ensure high quality scientific and medical, information and education is provided.

Key Responsibilities
- Provides medical expertise for our Rx portfolio to ensure high quality scientific and medical advice, education and information to internal and external stakeholders, concerning in line and in pre-launch products and new products under development.
- Develops the local medical affairs plan for the assigned therapeutical areas according to local and global strategy.
- Participate actively at EMEAC Medical Team Meetings and relevant Global meetings.
- Provide comprehensive trainings on products and related diseases to internal staff ensuring accurate delivery of messages in line with global plans for study interpretation and objection handling.
- Works proactively as strategic partner with Marketing to ensure market preparation pre
- and post-launch.
- Set up and lead medical strategic plan for the company in collaboration with the cross-functional partners contributing to success and appropriate use of products.
- Responsible to lead, develop, maintain current files on product-relevant medical literature.
- Supports data dissemination to reinforce clinical awareness and develops and maintains the support of KOLs/KTLs involved in Galderma scientific activities.
- Attends medical conferences and congresses as required to gain knowledge of progress in the medical areas of focus and bring scientific insights outside in.
- Review and approve promotional and training material tailored to the needs of the product according to SOPs and local compliance and regulations.
- Supports regulatory team providing medical insights during the life cycle of products and in preparation of the market access dossiers.
- Responsible for clinical trial oversight within the country and liaise with the Investigators and the CRO, when applicable
- Identifying and assessing (local) research opportunities according to Galderma scientific needs and strategy
- Leads internal submission process for Investigator Initiated Trials submitted to Galderma to support independent clinical/ preclinical research and track progress.
- Identify and interact with local scientific societies, Patient Organizations, and set-up specific projects, as appropriate according to local laws and SOPs.

Skills & Qualifications
- Medical Degree or MSc, Pharm.D PhD degree in health sciences
- Experience in Dermatology, Immunology and Biologics
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Medical Advisor
- Understanding of commercial context, possibly from prior clinical trial/medical affairs experience
- Understanding of local healthcare environment
- Demonstrable experience of developing and presenting scientific/medical content at a variety of levels, incoring senior KOLs/KTLs
