**.** Based in the GTA and reporting to the Head, Medical Affairs - Oncology, the incumbent will support several medications, both marketed and in development.- Status of position: Permanent, starting immediately- Location of position: Within the GTA- Role Purpose:
- The Medical Science Liaison (MSL), Oncology is responsible for developing and fostering professional relationships with clinical experts and decision makers. The MSL is particularly responsible for identifying experts in patient care gaps, treatment trends and emerging clinical science in related therapeutic areas and collaborating with them to ensure that Servier can develop pertinent strategies adapted to the needs and the reality of Canadian patients and health care professionals. In addition, the MSL is responsible for providing field-based support for local scientific data discussions and for collecting insights and managing activities based on peer-to-peer relationships with national, regional and local clinical experts. Specifically, this individual is responsible for:
- Discussing the current state of diseases with healthcare professionals (HCPs), and providing them with a fair and balanced scientific exchange and medical information;
- Sharing and discussing scientific information data with HCPs to ensure quality and accuracy of medical and scientific information for new treatment options;
- Collaborating with and supporting clinical experts in the development of continuing medical education events (CMEs), other learning activities (OLAs), regional expert consult meetings and other medical projects;
- Contributing to the identification of clinical experts and decision makers in the related therapeutic areas;
- Keeping abreast of key care gaps, treatment trends and emerging clinical science and ensuring that this information is shared with the appropriate departments at Servier;
- Acting as a scientific liaison between internal departments and external medical experts;
- Actively supporting medical and scientific meetings and/or congresses;
- Building and maintaining an in-depth knowledge of diseases, products and therapies;
- Participating in the implementation of trial and Phase IV program strategies in Canada;
- Contributing to the identification of clinical research study sites;
- Supporting a number of Servier internal departments with scientific expertise and understanding of the therapeutic area within Canada;

- Establishing Servier Canada as a player in Oncology by inspiring confidence, fostering a positive image and showing leadership
- Job Requirements:
- Prior experience in a similar role would be an asset, as would experience in the field of hematology and oncology;
- In-depth understanding of the processes and procedures involved in drug development, including commercialization and regulatory aspects;
- Ability to develop and maintain credible relationships with healthcare professionals;
- Strong interpersonal and teaming skills;
- Excellent communication and presentation skills;
- Strong business acumen;
- High degree of professionalism and integrity;
- Available to travel and attend scientific congresses;
- Ability to communicate well in English, oral and written (bilingualism would be an asset);
