This position plays a key role in the success of the Edmonton Meals on Wheels Fund Development department and is under the supervision of the Community Engagement and Fund Development Manager.

The Coordinator is creative, organized, goal-oriented and able to leverage the Meals on Wheels story to diverse groups on various platforms. The incumbent provides direct and behind the scenes support to further the goals of the department. The Coordinator is also responsible for executing exciting and creative fundraising and donor engagement opportunities for all stakeholders. This involves researching new funding opportunities, executing donor relations duties and assisting in the planning of fundraising events.

**POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Communication of internal and external events utilizing a variety of platforms
- Coordinates the planning, execution of fundraising events
- Cultivate and grow relationships with stakeholders
- Support efforts to create a legacy giving program
- Professionally represents the organization at internal & external events
- Support the core mission of Edmonton Meals on Wheels
- Other projects/duties as required

**QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS**
- Post-secondary diploma or certificate in marketing, public relations, fund development or related discipline preferred
- 1-3 years direct experience in public relations, fund development or communications, preferably in a charitable organization
- Excellent graphic design and desktop publishing skills with writing, event management/planning and public speaking
- Experience with media relations and the creation of print and digital media packages an asset
- A high degree of accuracy with a strong attention to detail
- Must possess excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Quick learner committed to continuous learning & improvement.
- Excellent interpersonal skills coupled with highly developed written & verbal communication skills
- A clean vulnerable sector check
- Driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract

**SALARY**
- Annually $45,000 to $52,000, Negotiable based on experience.
