Join the leadership team of Manulife Bank as we make Canadians lives better by saving them money and time with their banking. As the leader of our delivery and channel teams, the VP Digital and Channel Effectiveness ensures we have the plan of attack, resources, and measurement to deliver on our digital ambition.

Reporting to the President & CEO, Manulife Bank & Trust, this position will work in close collaboration with the CEO and Leadership team to formulate, develop and implement the digital and channel strategy direction of the Bank. Similarly, this position will collaborate with other segment leads on cross functional strategies in support of Canada Segment pivotal initiatives with a focus on the digital roadmap, data governance, sales practices, and strategic vendor management. Beyond the strategic aspect, the position will have oversight of key business functions including our Delivery organization, programs that drive retail and commercial sales, leading external partnerships and is accountable for monitoring and continually enhancing the effectiveness of these solutions.

The position is a dynamic leadership role with oversight and accountability for various functions and teams, critical to the success of Manulife Bank, with responsibilities to lead the following business functions and programs:

- Accountability for our delivery organization and ensuring leadership in our digital banking assets.
- Aligning portfolio investments to strategy, working with IT and other functional leaders to define integrated systems, partnership and vendor/fintech strategy.
- Ensure leading digital experience for core products and key customer interactions in support of the bank’s growth strategy; allowing us to effectively compete with large banks in chosen markets.
- Leadership of our business MIS, sales reporting, and data strategy.
- Responsible for the Trust offering, including bare trustee services and trusts and estate services.
- Sales reporting, development and monitoring of sales team compensation plans & advisor reward programs.
- Strategy, creation and maintenance of Advisor/Broker reward programs.
- Managing key vendor relationships, including our outsourced mortgage broker originator, underwriter and funder responsible for $2.8b (60%) of retail mortgage volumes.

**Responsibilities**

**Digital strategy & leadership of delivery organization including**:

- Strategy Development - Drive the annual portfolio planning process, ensuring alignment to strategic and financial plan priorities.
- Development of vendor & strategic partnership model with external vendors in order to ensure the Bank remains forward-thinking, digital leader in chosen markets, powerful mobile experience and builds the right partnerships to gain for pending Open Banking regulations.
- Support strategic discussions with the Bank leadership team including establishing Objective and Key Results (OKR) by value stream that align to core business objectives and KPIs.
- Ensure appropriate resource planning and leadership discussions occur to solve for specific management issues and project funding priorities for the Bank’s Value Stream Delivery Organization.
- Strategic collaboration and Reporting -Engage and collaborate with business and functional partners across the Bank to effectively scope project needs, deliver on plans, and monitor/track progress towards critical metrics.
- Identify potential fintech partners / vendors and manage partnership opportunities and continuity to help execute on the bank’s strategic plan and support the delivery of new digital product and technology capabilities to meet the needs of our customers.

**MIS Reporting, Data Management, Sales Compensation & Distributor Rewards**
- Oversee the creation/development, delivery, and analyses of sales reporting and commentary; provide recommendations to senior management for greater effective decision making, opportunities for enhancing profitability and external reporting.
- With key partners (Finance, HR, Compensation teams within other LOBs), responsible for the development and continual review and tracking of sales and mortgage broker compensation plans and guidelines/policies to drive key behaviours and actions, while ensuring adherence to sales practices and controls are in place.
- Collaborate with sales management see opportunities to optimize sales structure, roles, and territory assignment.
- Work with Sales and Product to develop strategy for promotion and incentive, reward and recognition programs that promote and drive Bank retail and commercial sale
