Genetec’s Industry Marketing Management (IMM) team is a highly skilled group of industry marketers who bridge the worlds of technology, sales, and vertical markets (aka industries) with ease, and are experts on our buyers and the industries they work in. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Industry Marketing, this role is critical to the success of our vertical markets strategy by leading a team of industry marketing managers that supports our vertical events, campaigns and initiatives.

The Team Lead will manage the IMM team and strengthen industry marketing practice across the global marketing team and the regions we serve. The Team Lead will bring our industry narratives and sales playbooks to life, capture our go-to-market strategy for industry offerings and portfolios, and enable the wider Sales team. Along the way, the Team Lead will ensure our industry marketers continue to grow professionally, are digitally engaged, and collaborate and support the activities of the Sales, Corporate and Regional Marketing teams.

- Lead a team of industry marketers and interns, ensure the practice and people continue to evolve and flourish
- Develop, implement and monitor the IMM team’s annual strategic plan, individual objectives and performance
- Own the strategic direction of industry marketing and deliverables: buyer analysis, market research, go-to-market planning, buyer journey mapping, buyer enablement, and messaging
- Work cross-functionally with Sales, Product, Regional and Corporate Marketing teams to support industry-focused campaigns, events and other activities
- Collaborate with Product Marketing to ensure alignment across processes and best practices
- Align with the SEM, HQ and regional demand generation teams on awareness and lead generation campaigns, eg. always-on paid search campaigns
- Track online performance of industry related programs and assets, eg. webpage traffic, SEM performance, search engine rankings, lead generation, conversion, and qualification rates

- 6+ years of B2B software or hardware marketing experience
- 2+ years experience leading a team of marketers, comfortable motivating and coaching people
- Bachelor’s degree in business or marketing, or equivalent experience
- Track record of working with sales, product marketing, digital marketing, content and communications teams
- Solid understanding of product or industry marketing essentials: market research, competitor analysis, messaging, content creation, sales tools development, digital and social media marketing
- Demonstrated understanding of the stages of the buyer journey and the development of buyer enablement tools
- Comfortable working with market, business and digital data (market sizing, revenues, website traffic, leads)
- Strong communication skills, comfortable presenting in front of a large audience in-person or online
- Excellent creative writing skills, ability to edit content developed by others
- English and French proficiency (spoken and written)

**Great if you have**:

- Previous experience as a product or industry marketing manager in a B2B technology environment
- Knowledge of software solutions, IP networking and security technology, Software as a Service (SaaS)
- Experience with marketing automation, CRM, lead management, and Account-Based Marketing (ABM)
- Comfortable data and analytics tools, eg. Microsoft PowerBI, Google Analytics, SEMrush, or equivalents
- Pragmatic Marketing certification, an MBA, or equivalent
