**Job Title**:Church Administrator

**Location**:Church of Our Lord, Victoria, BC

**Position Type**:Part-time (Hybrid position - 15 hours per week)
- This position offers a hybrid work option, combining remote work with on-site responsibilities. The Church Administrator will have the flexibility to perform certain tasks remotely while also being required to be physically present at the church office for specific duties and meetings. The exact schedule and arrangement will be determined by the Rector or designate. _

The Church Administrator plays a crucial role in supporting the administrative functions and operations of the church. This position requires a detail-oriented, organized individual with excellent communication skills and a heart for service.

**Key Responsibilities**:
Administrative Support:

- Maintain office supplies inventory
- Oversee the church calendar; schedule meetings, events, and appointments; booking of rooms or spaces as required for the congregation, tenants, and external groups
- Assist in preparing and distributing church publications, such as newsletters, bulletins, and announcements
- Prepare weekly slides for Sunday service
- Distribute material to Council and Annual General Meeting as needed (e.g. minutes, agenda, reports), and participate in monthly meetings as recording secretary
- Support various committees and groups; coordinate communication to relevant leaders
- Support preparation for special ceremonies [e.g. baptism, wedding, funeral]

Building/Tenants:

- Maintain rental agreements for all tenants, including annual renewals
- Coordinate site visits by external contractors (e.g. garbage, furnace, building)
- Act as the primary contact person for external cleaning contractor; communicate changing needs or priorities as required
- Act as the primary contact person for all church parking requests and manage permits as needed

Membership Support:

- Maintain accurate membership records, including database management and updating member information, and communicate changes to donor management and accounting

Financial System Support:

- Review and process invoices received from vendors, contractors, or service providers promptly; obtain necessary approvals before forwarding to accounting, and distributing payment
- Assist with counting cash offerings

**Qualifications**:

- Committed Christian faith
- Proactive, professional, detail-oriented, ability to multi-task
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong computer skills with the ability to utilize current technology (e.g. online calendars, Microsoft Office suite, Mail Chimp, Pro Presenter)
- Agree with ANiC code of conduct (to be provided)
- Previous administrative experience, preferably in a church or nonprofit setting
- Must be a Canadian citizen or have permanent residency status and have completed a satisfactory criminal record check

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 per week
