Reporting to the Associate Dean, Design and Visual Arts, Computer Studies, the incumbent develops and delivers our **Computer Programming and Mobile Application Development **programs. Specific duties include, but are not limited to:

- Delivering Game Design courses in the Computer Studies program
- **Deliver courses in-person**:

- Developing and delivering appropriate curriculum to meet course objectives
- Incorporating a variety of teaching / learning strategies to meet student needs
- Evaluating student progress / achievement
- Participating in program and college activities as required
- Participating in program revision and renewal activities as required
- Creating and maintaining a positive learning environment

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Computer Science or a related area
- Experience with a current game engine; specifically, Unity and/or Unreal Engine
- Experience with scripting in and for games
- Experience with production tools for audio, 2D, and 3D game assets
- Experience with iOS and/or Android programming
- Knowledge of current technology and trends in gaming in Canada
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
- Proven ability to work in a team environment and to foster the same in their students
- Experience managing change and leading innovation
- A commitment to life-long learning
- Experience in some or all of the following is an asset: curriculum development, a variety of delivery strategies, adult learning methodologies, academic advising, and student success strategies
- Demonstrated ability to work with diverse student populations
- Computer literacy: Microsoft Office Suite
- Computer literacy with a Learning Management System / Web Delivery Software (i.e. Blackboard) and a Student Information System would be considered an asset
- Teaching and Training Adults certification and / or experience in a teaching or training capacity is an asset
