Supervisor, Quality Control

As Supervisor, Quality Control, you will be responsible for a team of technicians.
You will also be responsible for ensuring the quality of Kinova's equipment and products by monitoring failures during incoming quality controls, during production and at output, and by ensuring the implementation of internal and external (suppliers) corrective actions. You will also be responsible for contributing to the improvement of processes and tools required for the smooth running of the department.
**MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES**:
Supervision of Quality Control Department:
- Plan, coordinate and prioritize the tasks of the quality control department to ensure adequate support for production;
- Implement measures to increase department efficiency and reduce costs;
- Ensure that procedures and methods are followed by Quality Control Department members and collaborators;
- Evaluate the capabilities of the Quality Control department and ensure that the department is able to meet production needs;
- Propose continuous improvement actions for the department and take charge of the implementation of continuous improvement projects;
- Supervise and develop Quality Control team members.
Quality assurance - supply chain:
- Monitor quality indicators related to the quality of incoming material;
- Orchestrate investigations to identify root causes and measures to improve inbound material quality;
- Ensure the implementation of internal and external (suppliers) corrective measures;
- Evaluate and ensure completion of tasks required for smooth and proper implementation of engineering changes (ECO) in production.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical, industrial or related engineering and/or other professional experience relevant to the position;
- Minimum 2 years experience in personnel supervision in a similar position;
- Mastery of quality control methodologies and supply chain quality assurance processes;
- Attention to detail, organization and commitment to maintaining the highest quality standards;
- Analytical and problem-solving skills;
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills with different departments and all levels of personnel to present and explain quality issues and possible corrective solutions;
- Excellent interpersonal skills;
- Autonomy, resourcefulness, ability to influence and adapt;
- Ability to work under pressure;
- Functional English (oral and written).
ASSETS
- Experience in robotics, industrial and/or medical fields;
- Extensive experience in metrology;
- Experience with an ERP system;
- Knowledge of electronics inspection standards (IPC-A-610);
- Knowledge of ISO-13485, IEC-60601 and 21 CFR 820 standards.
